Softball Loses 7-2 at St. Scholastica
DULUTH, Minn. - The MLC softball team lost its make up game at St. Scholastica Thursday by the score of 7-2.
The Knights were held to one hit in the game, with Madeline Scott picking up that hit to lead off the seventh inning. The Knights scored both runs in the inning, with Scott and Katie Scherer scoring on a wild pitch and a stolen base attempt.
Laura Miller pitched for MLC, allowing seven runs (all earned) on 11 hits, falling to 6-10 on the season.
With the loss, MLC dropped to 8-18 overall and 7-10 in the UMAC, while CSS improved to 25-8 on the season and 16-1 in league play.
The Knights will return to action at the UMAC crossover held at Northland College on tomorrow (Friday, April 27). MLC will play its first game at 2 p.m. against Northland.
