Softball Picked Sixth in Preseason Poll
ST. PAUL, Minn. - The MLC softball team was picked to finish sixth in the conference preseason poll voted on by the conference coaches.
MLC finished last season 15-23 overall and 7-14 in the UMAC, good for sixth place in the conference.
MLC returns five players with starting experience, led by 2010 all-conference performers Sarah Free and Karla Opperman, and looks to get the season started on a high note on March 17 at the Plymouth Creek dome against North Central, Presentation and Maranatha.
St. Scholastica was picked to finish first in the poll, receiving six first place votes. Northwestern and Minnesota, Morris were picked to finish second and third, respectively. The full preseason release can be found at the link below.
