ST. PAUL - MLC softball player Sarah Free was named UMAC Player of the Week for her play in the first week of the season for MLC.
Sarah Free was named UMAC Player of the Week
Free batted .500 in five games for the Knights, going 9-18 with eight RBI. She slugged .611 for the week as well.
The senior infielder also set two new career records at MLC breaking the previous record of 124 hits held by April Cook, as well as Amanda Schaffer's record of 34 career doubles.
Free and the Knights will return to action on Thursday with a double header against Macalester.
