Eagles Beat MLC Women 5-4

ST. PAUL, Minn. - The MLC women's tennis team lost a close 5-4 match at Northwestern Tuesday night.
The two teams split the six singles matches, with Rachel Niemi (6-4, 6-7 (6-12), 10-2), Karina Luthra (6-1, 6-1) and Hannah Janke (6-1, 6-2) winning their matches for MLC.
Northwestern was able to edge out the Knights in the doubles competition 2-1, with the team of Michelle Hintz and Lauren Gross getting the lone win by the score of 8-2.
With the loss, MLC dropped to 3-5 on the season, and 3-3 in the UMAC.
The Knights will return to action next Wednesday, April 27, when they host North Central for a match scheduled to start at 3 p.m.
