NEW ULM, Minn. - The MLC women's tennis team lost to Northwestern 7-2 in the first home match of the season for the Knights.

Michelle Hintz teamed with Lauren Gross to bring home one of MLC's two points against Northwestern

In singles action, Karina Luthra (Simpsonville, S.C./LPS) won her match 6-4 and 6-0 in the number three position, with Meredith Koltz (Oconomowoc, Wis./LPS) dropping her number five singles match by the scores of 5-7 and 4-6.

In doubles, the team of Lauren Gross (Oconomowoc, Wis./LPS) and Michelle Hintz (Franklin, Tenn./Independence HS) won their match in the number three spot by the score of 9-7, but Northwestern took the other two matches.

With the loss, MLC dropped to 1-4 on the season. The Knights will return to the court on Saturday, April 10, when they host St. Scholastica for a 9:30 a.m. match.
