ST. PAUL - The MLC women's tennis team lost its season opening match 8-1 to Macalester Saturday night.
Rachel Niemi and the Knights lost the season opener to Macalester
The Knights lost the three doubles matches by the scores of 8-2, 8-1 and 8-0, with Rachel Niemi and Karina Luthra coming closest in the number one doubles match.
In singles, Leslie Klinski picked up the only point for MLC, winning her number three singles match 6-0, 4-1.
MLC will return to action on Sunday, February 12, when it plays Edgewood.
