MLC Women Take Down Rams
MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. - The MLC women's tennis team picked up its first win of the season by a score of 6-3 over North Central Tuesday.
Rachel Niemi won her singles and doubles matches at NCU
MLC won four of the six singles matches, with Rachel Niemi, Karina Luthra, Meredith Koltz and Tessa Hieb each winning in straight sets.
The Knights also won two of the doubles matches, as Niemi and Luthra teamed to win the top doubles match 8-4, while Michelle Hintz and Lauren Gross won the number three doubles match 8-0.
With the win, MLC improved to 1-3 overall and 1-1 in the UMAC, while North Central dropped to 0-3 on the season and 0-2 in league play.
The Knights will return to the courts Thursday, April 7, when they host Northwestern for a match set to start at 3 p.m.
