NEW ULM, Minn. - The MLC women's tennis team beat North Central 8-1 Tuesday to earn its first win over the season.
Karina Luthra and the Knights beat NCU
The Knights swept the doubles matches by the scores of 8-1, 8-0, and 8-2.
In singles, four of the six matches were straight set wins by the Knights, with Rachel Niemi, Karina Luthra, Leslie Klinski and Carissa Kock getting the wins. Michelle Hintz won her match by forfeit.
With the win, MLC improved to 1-4 overall and 1-1 in the UMAC, while North Central dropped to 0-4 on the season and 0-4 in league play.
The Knights will return to action on the courts on Wednesday, April 11, when they play Northwestern.
