MINNEAPOLIS - The Martin Luther College women's tennis team swept North Central 9-0 in a match held at the Baseline Tennis Center on Thursday night.

Charies Goelzer won in both singles and doubles as MLC swept NCU


The Knights won all three doubles matches 8-5, 8-0 and 8-0 to take an early 3-0 lead in the match.

In singles, MLC took all six matches in straight sets.

Jackie Keller, Carissa Kock and Charis Goelzer each won singles and doubles matches, while Holly Marquardt, Elizabeth Broring and Bekah Johnston won their singles matches.

MLC improved to 2-7 overall and 2-5 in the UMAC with the win, while NCU fell to 0-8 on the season and in the UMAC in defeat.

The Knights will return to action on Saturday, April 26, when they travel to UM-Morris for a match scheduled to begin at 1 p.m.
