Women Win Second Match

NEW ULM, Minn. - The MLC women's tennis team won its second conference match of the season with a 7-2 victory over Bethany Tuesday.
Rachel Niemi won her singles match in straight sets against BLC
The Knights took two of the three doubles matches, with the teams of Michelle Hintz and Leslie Klinski, and also Taylor Thomson and Jackie Keller, each winning 8-4.
In singles, MLC won five of six. Rachel Niemi, Karina Luthra, Leslie Klinski, Heidi Heckmann and Miranda Pomije all won in straight sets.
With the win, MLC improved to 2-6 overall and 2-2 in the UMAC, while BLC dropped to 1-7 on the season and 1-5 in league play.
MLC will return to the courts on Saturday, April 21, when it travels to St. Scholastica.
