Women Wrap Up Singles Season
MINNEAPOLIS - The MLC women's tennis team completed the singles competition at the UMAC Tournament held at Baseline Tennis Center, with five players reaching the semi-finals.
Rachel Niemi and the Knights finihsed the season at the UMAC Tournament
Hannah Janke (Sioux Falls, S.D./LPS) went the furthest of any of the players, reaching the championship round of flight five before losing in the final round 6-0 and 6-1.
Rachel Niemi (La Crosse, Wis./Luther), Carol Niemi (La Crosse, Wis./Luther), Karina Luthra (Simpsonville, S.C./LPS) and Tessa Hieb (Cleveland, Ohio/LPS) each made the semi-finals in their flights before losing.
St. Scholastica won the team competition for the 14th season, and won each of the six flights. MLC finished third in the team competition, with Northwestern finishing second.
