Hackbarth, Maertz Named All-UMAC

ST. PAUL, Minn. - Hannah Hackbarth and Lauren Maertz of the MLC women's track team were named All-UMAC in a release sent out by the conference Thursday.

Hackbarth received the honor after winning the 3000 Meter Steeplechase at the UMAC Outdoor Championships with a school-record time of 13:01.02. She also was a part of a school-record breaking 4 x 400 Relay team that finished with a time of 4:24.65 to tie for second in that event.

Maertz help MLC score in three different events. She finished fifth individually in the 400 Meter Hurdles, and also took part in the 4 x 400 Meter Relay and 4 x 100 Meter Relay, helping the team to second and third place finishes in those events, respectively.

Maertz was also the MLC recipient of the Sportsmanship Award, given to one athlete from each team.
