ST. PAUL - Martin Luther College volleyball player Rebecca Engelbrecht was named UMAC Offensive Player of the Week for the second consecutive week Tuesday afternoon.

Rebecca Engelbrecht was named UMAC Offensive Player of the Week for the second straight week

Engelbrecht averaged 4.14 kills per set in four matches over the weekend at a tournament hosted by Bethel University, hitting .266 in those matches. In Friday's five-set win over St. Olaf, Engelbrecht hit .404 and finished with 25 kills.

Engelbrecht also reached a milestone of 1,000 career kills over the weekend, becoming the fourth MLC volleyball player to do so. She now has 1,014 kills for her career.

Engelbrecht and the Knights will return to action on Friday, September 13, when they play at UW-Oshkosh.
