STORM LAKE, Iowa - The Martin Luther College volleyball team lost 3-0 at Buena Vista Thursday night by the scores of 25-22, 25-15 and 26-24.

The Knights had chances in the first and third sets to beat the Beavers, but BVU came through at the end of each game to win down the stretch on the way to the sweep.

Rebecca Engelbrecht finished with 16 kills and an attack percentage of .279, with Kayla Schoeneck also providing offense with eight kills.

Miranda Maasz led the team with 32 assists, while Engelbrecht and Anthon finished with 11 and ten digs, respectively. Morgan Kumbier finished with a match-high three blocks.

MLC dropped to 11-9 in defeat, while Buena Vista improved to 13-7 with the win.

The Knights will return to action on Tuesday, October 15, when they host Macalester for a match scheduled to start at 7 p.m.
