One way we assist students in clarifying their decision to prepare for the teaching ministry is with Freshman Early Field Experience (EFE). Through speakers, reflective teaching, and presenting their own lessons to visiting elementary school students most students reaffirm their goal of becoming a Lutheran teacher. EFE student Nate Gartner wrote, "Yes, I want to be a teacher. I am going to set my mind to it. I want to touch the lives of little Christian boys and girls. I know I will be able to do this with the help of God."
