Heart of New Ulm

Last week, MLC students underwent a free heart screening on campus as part of MLC´s Wellness program and the Heart of New Ulm project. The Heart of New Ulm is a national pilot attempting to completely remove heart attacks from the 56073 zip code in 10 years. In conjunction with the project, Bob Harper, a trainer from the popular TV show "The Biggest Loser," spoke in New Ulm Friday, an event also attended by many MLC students, faculty, and staff. Future seminars are also planned to promote healthy choices among the campus family.
