Professor Richard Ash to retire

last modified 2011-10-21 01:40 PM

Professor of Science Richard Ash will retire at the end of this school year. Professor Ash has served at MLC since 1999 after teaching high school science at Manitowoc Lutheran for almost 30 years. Professor Roger Klockziem, who team-teaches biology with Professor Ash, commented, “Let us all praise and thank Jesus for Professor Ash’s model of faithfulness, academic integrity, scholarship, and leadership expressed in his love of and concern for future proclaimers of the gospel. His humor and unending sources of puns will never leaf us.” The Governing Board of MLC is now calling for nominations to fill this position.

The Governing Board of Martin Luther College invites all voting members of WELS to nominate qualified individuals for the position of life science professor. The individual will teach courses such as biology, human anatomy and physiology, ecology, kinesiology, and the physiology of exercise. Individuals should possess a master's degree or higher. Nominations must be received by October 27. Access the nomination form at http://www.wels.net/about-wels/synod-reports/nomination-alert.
