Readers' Theater hits the airwaves

Readers’ Theater is often the experimental production of the MLC Forum season. This year a radio play, The War of the Worlds, offered special challenges for director Darin Warnecke and his cast. Darin wanted the audience to experience the performance much as radio listeners did in 1938 by viewing the radio broadcast as well as the reactions of a young married couple in their Manhatten apartment. As an added treat for local listners, the War of the Worlds cast also did a live radio broadcast from New Ulm’s KNUJ radio.
