MLC Athletes, Teams Awarded for Academic Achievements

Martin Luther College is proud to announce that 54 MLC student-athletes were named Academic All-Conference

Martin Luther College is proud to announce that 54 MLC student-athletes were named Academic All-Conference for the 2008 fall sports season, the most of any school in the UMAC.

MLC also led the conference in team GPA for five of the eight fall sports (men’s cross country, football, men’s soccer, women’s soccer, and volleyball).

"At the Division III level, academics come first” MLC Athletic Director Jim Unke said. “I think this just goes to show that we have a lot of great kids in our programs that believe that message.”

To be selected as an honoree, an athlete must post a 3.5 or better GPA during the fall semester and also compete in the sport in which he or she is nominated.
