How do I get a library card?

MLC students are given a campus photo ID card when registered as a student, whether full or part-time. Community patrons or patrons living in Minnesota should follow the instructions below.

How do I get a library card?

You can apply for a library card at any public library in the Traverse des Sioux region.  You’ll be asked to present a driver’s license or other photo ID with a current address.  If you are under the age of 16, the registration form must be signed by a parent or guardian.  Your card will be issued by the library in the city or county where you reside, and is provided free of charge.

If you live outside the Traverse des Sioux region, and have a library card from another Minnesota library, your library card will be honored.  Guest privileges will also be extended for temporary visitors or out of state residents, depending upon the policy of the individual library.
