Women’s Choir

  • History

Women’s Choir has enjoyed a long history on the campus of Martin Luther College.  For many years, an all-women’s choral group functioned as a student-directed group, called the Aeolians.   Joyce Schubkegel, who led the group renamed as The Dr. Martin Luther College Treble Choir, directed for twenty eight years.  Since Prof. Schubkegel’s retirement from the directorship, other faculty have led the choral group, now known as The Martin Luther College Women’s Choir.  Among recent directors are Dr. Wayne Wagner, Prof. Robert Potratz, Prof. Kathryn Wurster and Prof. Grace Hennig.
