Wind Symphony Concert

The Martin Luther College Wind Symphony will be in concert on Sunday, November 24 at 3:00 PM in the Wittenberg Collegiate Center Auditorium.  Works on the program include

  • Down East Fanfare, by Jack Stamp,
  • The Foshay Tower/Washington Memorial March by Sousa, and
  • Elegy by John Barnes Chances.

The concert will also feature three student conductors, Rachel Brokmeier, Katie Kobs, and Marcus Henning, as they take the podium for the first time.  The pieces they will present,

  • Mysterious Village by Michael Colgrass,
  • American Folk Rhapsody by Clare Grundman, and
  • Three Sketches for Winds and Percussion by Robert Sheldon (respectively)

are part of their curriculum as students studying Secondary Instrumental Music.   These works and more will be presented for your enjoyment, we looking forward to seeing you there.
