MLC Governing Board extends five calls

On November 10, 2012, the MLC Governing Board extended four calls to fill positions to be vacated on June 30, 2013, by retirements:

Mr. James Holm was called to serve as Vice President for Mission Advancement to replace Mr. Jon Scharlemann. Mr. Holm currently serves as the Executive Director of WELS Foundation, Inc., in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Rev. Bart Brauer was called to serve as professor of theology and history to replace Dr. Mark Lenz. Rev. Brauer currently serves as pastor of Spirit of Life Lutheran Church in Byron Center, Michigan.

Miss Jennifer Mehlberg was called to serve as professor of early childhood education to replace Professor Susan Haar. Miss Mehlberg currently serves as lead teacher at the MLC Early Childhood Learning Center in New Ulm, Minnesota.

Mr. Daniel Gawrisch was called to serve as professor of physical education with coaching responsibilities to replace Professor John Gronholz. Mr. Gawrisch currently serves as an MLC admissions counselor in New Ulm, Minnesota.

A call was also extended to Mr. James Henrickson to serve as coordinator for the Teacher Induction Program. The person in this position oversees a synodical mentoring initiative while serving in the Office of Graduate Studies and Continuing Education. Mr Henrickson currently serves as teacher and principal at Calvary Lutheran School in Dallas, Texas.
