Total enrollment numbers increasing
MLC’s semester two on-campus enrollment (after December graduation and the normal transfers in and out) stands at 665, a slight decrease from semester two last year. That number, however, does not give a complete picture of MLC’s educational impact across the WELS.
In addition to those undergraduate students served, 95 teachers and administrators are pursuing their Master of Science in Education degrees through MLC, with emphases in instruction (33), leadership (35), special education (20), and educational technology (7). We anticipate 10 graduates will participate in the May 2012 commencement service.
In a typical school year, MLC serves another 800+ students through continuing education courses. Many of these students are teachers currently serving in classrooms across the country. They are strengthening their expertise by taking classes in education, technology, religion, science, writing, etc.
If we add these efforts together, MLC taught courses to over 1200 different students last year.
